What do our students say?

“Choosing North Carolina A&T State University was one the best decisions I’ve ever made! I had some of the best years of my life at N.C. A&T, not only in regards to my social life, but also my professional and overall development. The faculty, the professional programs, and the courses, all helped me achieve my goals and prepare for life after college. Because of N.C. A&T, I was able to secure and complete SIX internships and receive multiple full-time offers before starting graduate school.

I developed skills and study habits that have allowed me to excel in professional settings, graduate school, and pass all four parts of the CPA exam in one summer. I was also able to attend my first choice for graduate school, Wake Forest University, with multiple scholarships - but of course my real first choice would have been N.C. A&T if the MACC program started in 2016!

I am currently a Tax Associate at Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP and will soon be a Certified Public Accountant (completing the application process now!), and I owe it all to North Carolina A&T State University and the wonderful professors that helped mold me into the accounting professional I am today.”

Payton Sartin - Graduate Student

"My Name is Opia, my friends call me O. I graduated from N.C. A&T in 2015. I had a great experience at A&T because of my experience in the Accounting program. While in the program, I received many opportunities that promoted my academic, professional, and personal growth. I participated in recruiter "meet-and-greets," received professional mentorship, and we had meetings with industry professionals that gave us insight into business trends and forecasts.

Students, like myself, were able to take advantage of the exposure to elite companies. The accounting education at N.C. A&T was vital to my preparation as a working professional. I learned to think critically, build a solid technical foundation, and make the Aggie Family proud.

Our teachers were tough but caring and loving. I always knew that they wanted us to succeed and have a great career and life. As a result of my preparation, training, and exposure, I am enjoying my accounting career. I work as a public auditor, learning, growing, and thriving every day. I sincerely believe that the Accounting Program at North Carolina A&T State University is among the best!"
